Welcome

This is the online home of Doubleday author Sam Munson.  (Find me on Facebook here.) My first novel, THE NOVEMBER CRIMINALS, is now available. THE NOVEMBER CRIMINALS is the story of high-school senior Addison Schacht, a drug dealer and aspiring classicist, and his well-intentioned but inept investigation into his classmate Kevin Broadus’s murder. Other subjects covered include (but are not limited to) sex, violence, race, Holocaust jokes, Lou Reed, J.S. Bach, Latin geekery, dog murder, art-house cinema, the Ku Klux Klan, why Maryland is the worst state, and what the “DC” in Washington, DC REALLY stands for.   “Justifies the hype . . . has the inventive, expansive flare of Michael Chabon’s best writing and the highbrow-crime intrigue of a Donna Tartt book,” says Vanity Fair.  ”Precocious” and “irresistible,” says Booklist. “Munson nails the voice,” says PW.  ”Deft comic timing,” says Kirkus. Look for THE NOVEMBER CRIMINALS in bookstores everywhere or order it from AmazonBarnes and NobleBorders, or IndieBound.
